Working with the My Network Map

The primary WhatsUp Gold My Network map automatically arranges devices based upon role and connectivity information gathered during the discovery process though it can be modified and customized as needed to fit your individual network monitoring needs.

Select MY NETWORK from the navigation menu to display the map of devices previously discovered and subsequently added to the application for monitoring. This is the default map displayed immediately upon logging in.

At left are icons used to configure the map view to fit your monitoring specific needs. Using these controls you can:

WUG17.0N-IMG-LAYOUT_TOGGLE WUG17.0N-IMG-LAYOUT_TOGGLE_2

Please note, you may need to enable one or more overlays to display certain monitored devices and launch corresponding device information cards.

WUG17.0N-IMG-MAP_FILTER

At right are icons used to access the most common libraries used for WhatsUp Gold device management as well as controls for customizing the look and feel of your network map. From here, you can not only access, but also apply both credentials and monitors to devices displayed on the current map. Simply select one or more existing credentials or monitors along with any icon or icons shown, then click Apply to selected devices to complete the assignment. With either the credentials or monitors dialog open, click WUG17.0N-IMG-ADD_ICON_PLUS_SIGN to add a new credential or monitor to the respective library directly from the Monitor map or WUG17.0N-IMG-OPEN_LIBRARY to open that library in full screen mode.
